Default headlight demon 2000 ultra classic

I started bike yesterday and the blue high beam light was lit even though the switch was not in high beam mode, the headlight was not lit at all but the passing lamps were on as normal. when switching to high beam mode the headlight comes on very dimly. I flipped awitch back and forth to no change. was putting bike back in garage and the lights went back to working correctly. today same senario to a t except when I rode to dinner the ride home was with out the headlight lit. only the passing lamps. when I got home putting it in the garage the headlight lit up. is it possesed. any ideas?? I will start with multi meter tom. I put it on trickle charger for the night. Thanks in advance.

I had a 2009 Street Glide that was acting the same. Pulled the headlight and the harness had heated up and started melting.

Went to Napa and got a new harness to wire in and never had another issue.

So start with your headlight plug harness.

the headlight connection was the issue, just a poor connection. I sanded down the blades and put a little dab of grease on the and she is good to go. headed for a ride to make sure it is fixed. thanks again for the reply you were dead on
