Speaker wire question

Speaker wire question
I installed 6.5 's in my fairing today. Original Speaker wire ends are one black, one white on each speaker. Is the black negative and the white positive?
Not getting any love in the audio section. Shop manual doesn't show it, or say anything about it. Thanks

I am not an expert. I to have changed speakers. The faring speakers terminals are different sizes. One spade terminal is larger than the other. Just make sure the large one is on the large one and the small one is on the small one. Very hard to say if the wires were ever changed and for what reason. But typically the white wire is positive on a car or bike and the black is negative. Good luck

wiring diagram in my shop manual ( 2009) shows:
rt + grey/red
rt - lt green/ black
lft + w/ orange
lft - lt green/wht
looking at your fuzzy pic, the capacitor is likely on the + terminal- it is there to filter out frequencies for the tweeter
the + is always marked somehow whether a + symbol, a spot of paint....something.
same as on lamp cord in your living room, the + will be the side with any marking...the - would be plain
