Just curious if they can be gotten with a black spring instead of the yellow.

I'm pretty sure the #2s come with black springs and the ones with external reservoir is yellow or black. My 2-2A came with black. I'd call Howard to be sure.

You should be able to choose. When I bought my #3-3s Howard only had black in the correct rating, but offered to get in yellow if I wanted them. Part of me said yes, so I can show off, until I realised they are out of sight behind my bags, so black they are!

eathomps.... what is the actual "Ohlins" part number of those 2-2B shocks.
2-2B is howard's number. It is a HD022?

Howard offers more options to us than Ohlins USA does! This is because he custom builds them himself, using Ohlins components, which means some of his models do not have actual Ohlins model numbers. He has been building Ohlins shocks for us since before Ohlins started marketting shocks for Harleys, one reason he is so popular on HDF.

I believe, if it was you, the answer is your choice, you are the boss if yellow is available in that specification.
