Default streamer passenger floor boards

I just bought a set of streamliner floorboards. I can not get the insert to seat properly. I have pushed it in as hard as I can. Tapped it with a rubber mallet. It just does not seem to pop in and stay. Seems there would be more than an interference fit with pivot pin and rubber to hold it in. The set screw was threaded in as well. Any suggestions?

Try putting some liquid soap on the rubber ****, and pull them through with pliers from the bottom

What I did...
Liquid soap on the rubber tips.
Set the floorboard on a hard floor surface.
Position insert on floorboard.
Step on insert - went right in.

Good luck.

Windex as lube because it will evaporate and not let them slip back out later on once set. set on the floor, push hard to set and hold with weight for a bit No pull throughs on these if they were like the one's I bought for my passenger.
