I picked up my 2001 SE RG yesterday. I am very happy with this bike. It is very easy to ride and after the 1.5 hour drive home I was not tired at all. I was a little apprehensive about my 1/8 mile long gravel drive waybut had no problems. I just need to get the shorter windshield as I am looking through the top section. Iordered a service manual so I can read up on the bike. The 12 disk CD changer is nice and it has great sound. I was surprised on how clear it was at 70 miles an hour.

If anyones interested, I was at East Coast HD in Dumfries, VA (703-221-3757)today and they had a 2001 SERG in Black and Silver there on consignment. It only has 1900 miles on it, it is basically brand new, I couldn't believe how clean it was.

If you're looking for one, I don't think you could find a nicer one. I was tempted to make an offer just to get it and garage it.

They have $21,500 on it but the sales guy told me he was sure the guy would except less.

 

Great ride! Hard to improve on the stock configuration.....get a Clearview shield if you have the patience to wait....but worth it. I really like the Blue on that model.
Who cares about the miles? Not me. I'll put a new top end in mine before I dismiss it for good.

I lusted over a 2001 SERG for quite a while, but they sold it before I was ready to buy. I wasn't really ready to buy when I saw my 2002, but I couldn't pass it up. You are going to enjoy your Road Glide!
