Sylvania SilverStar Headlight Bulbs
After searching the subj on the forum I decided to try them for myself. You can purchase singles at Autozone for $20.
Well worth the money. No more yellow tint, it's more of a bright white. Someone mentioned the bike's vibration would kill them.
I have them in my commuter car and they've lasted over a year. I had to purchase the H4-ST and changed them out in 2 mins.
Nice mod IMHO.

EDIT: They do make one brighter, but it must be used in a steel and glass housing, I have a Road Glide which = nothing but plastic for my Headlight housing so I didn't get them.

PS There are sever Silverstars out for the Harleys. Theres a 40w/50, a 45w/55 , a 45w/55 and a 45w/60. anything hotter will draw mor current and yur lighting wires might get hot and melt. Watch out and beware!

RE: Sylvania SilverStar Headlight Bulbs
There are two issues at play with regard to headlights one is visibility during daylight hours and second is night vision and they are not necessarily the same. The brightest/yellow/white or blue will seen in daylight better than weaker lights, but at night being the brightest is not enough. The bulb which produces light which is closest to the color of sunlight will provide the best vision. The human eye is tuned to the resulting color spectrum of sunlight so we see things and their colors best in that light. Depending on what you want you headlight to do for you may determine which bulb is right. The Silverstar light at 4000K which is as close to daylight as you can get without going to an HDI system. OsramSylvainia is the parent company who make the Silverstar line so I am not sure which bulb Bryan1724 is referring too, it would be interesting to know.
Hope this helps,
