Mother's Day??? OH **** . lol

Been married ten years, so I know better than that. Nice bike. My wife told me to go for a ride today, it was beautiful out. But, wanting to be married for at least another ten years, I spent the whole day with her. Tonight before she drifted off to sleep, I let her know that next weekend is mine. She will be lucky if I stop by to change my underware. lol

Have fun on the new bike. LET THE SPENDING BEGIN!!!

Congrats Hydra, and I can definitely relate. Brought mine home last Saturday (Black Cherry) and have a week on you and about another 500 miles. I just took the wife out yesterday after buying her an FXRG Jacket, Deluxe Chaps, and a new Helmut.
Mrs. Boss already has the dealer bringing in an RG for her to try (and buy no doubt).

Let's see....
About $350 for momma's misc Harley clothes from dealer
$90 for the boy's Harley spring jacket from dealer
$30 for the girl's Harley t-shirt from dealer
$50 for three Harley do-rags (wife and kids) from dealer
$400+ for Harley helmets for wife and kids from dealer
$849 for wife's FXRG jacket on order from dealer
$349 for wife's Harley chaps on order from dealer

$8 for my non-Harley t-shirt from Anaheim

WTF???

Ya, the antenna thing came up yesterday. Gotta find a shorty.

Thanks to everyone for the comments. Once the parts (especially the painted ones) start coming in, then the fun begins. Will post pic's as it happens.

Black may be the fastest color, but the GOOD looking women can't keep up. That's why their always on the cobalt blue bikes.
People who ride black bikes quickly learn to drive slower so the good lookingwoman can catch up!!!

(Conversely, we ride faster when the not-so-good looking women are around)

BTW, nice bike you have there.

For the antenna, you can remove your's from the base, cut in down from the bottom, and reinstal it, or you can buy the fiberglass shorty from JM. http://jmcorp.com/SeeProducts.asp?PF=6

HRUP-ARL

$39.99

1 FT CB or AM/FM Ant Staff Upgrade ‘89-‘07 Harley Rail Mount ONLY

As for the FXRG Jacket at 849.00 ( I just paid $640.00 Canadian for my wifes on Saturday) (800.00 less 20% from my Dealer)
I also ordered her the Deluxe Chaps at 349.00 and they get 20% off as well. (279.20 CDN) Deduct another 10% for US dollar and you should have the price you should be paying from your dealer. Most dealers will deal on apparel when you just bought a bike.

Go forth and save!

Glideman, mind telling me who your dealer is? Mine raises all P&A 10% and then rounds up. Good news though...after spending $30k on the bike and initial parts (no clothes and misc included)...I get the priviledge of getting 10% off (MSRP + 10% - 10%) P&A and I get to pay full retail for service work.[:@]

Again....WTF??? Anyone else want to deal with Heritage Harley Davidson in Edmonton, Alberta???

I'm starting to think I'll do my shopping at Gasoline Alley HD in Red Deer or HD of Edmonton.

Bryan, my son is excited about the bike...but my daughter absolutely squeals when she's riding. Very cool.

No problem at all Hydra.Call Nicole Meyer at Kanes HD in Calgary (403) 269-8577 and tellher Graemereferred you. I spoke to her about your deal and although I can't say as they'll discount the same deal for you since I just bought 2 bikes there, she did say she'd look after you.Ask her about last years FXRG womens jackets as I know they have a few sitting upstairs that are marked way down from list.

She's a great girl to deal with and they have the FXRG line in stock.

Thanks very much. I will call her and let her know she got a hell of a reference.

Amazingly enough, I told the sales manager (who was also my salesman) that I would be looking at buying momma an 883 probably next year (right after three of us signed a three bike deal) and he acted like it wouldn't make a difference whether or not I bought from his dealership. When I called him on the MSRP + 10% B.S. his comment was "it's just coincidence that we offer a 10% discount if you buy a bike, and all HD parts are marked up like that because of freight". It took me all of one minute to confirm that that was crap by calling HD of Edmonton. Unfortunately, I was forced to buy the big ticket parts off of them because I needed them rolled into the loan.

Holy $hit! I just hijacked my own thread.

Anyway, thanks again for the info.
