Trade 07 Ultra for 06 Screaming Eagle Ultra
I need your opinions. I currently ride an 07 Ultra with about 5K miles and have run accross an 06 SE Ultra (FLHTCUSE) with the same amount of miliage. Although the 06 only has a 5 speed tranny, it does have the 103 ci engine and lots of goodies. I've always wanted a CVO but could never justify spending 35K on one. This is the first preowned one I've come accross and think I might be able to get a good deal on. My bike is paid paid for. What would you do?

Depends on what YOU want. Trunk is smaller, seat is less comfortable, but they are good looking bikes. I considered an SE Ultra, then decided to go with the base Ultra and spend the difference in making the bike the way I wanted it. Play out the difference in cost, and imagine what mods you can do.
But if it is really what you want, then yours is the only opinion that matters.

For a grand or so you can go with a 107 kit. I know that wont give you all the chrome goodies or paint that you'll get with the SE package, but it's my opinon that the SE bikes are kinda over done anyway.
(no offense to anyone owning one)
Better to customize your own paid for ride and listen to the well earned ooohs and aaahs.

Personally .... when the '07s came out they came out with heavier duty parts so upgrades to big-bore or whatnot doesn't require changes to other components. HD actually kinda did something well here. In the Pre '07s if you wanted to upgrade your tc88 into a 95 or higher you had more 'stuff' to replace. Bore kits are not as bad now for the TC96 engines as the parts in them are made for upgrades now.
Just my $.02.
