I hope that the air in the shock does fix it for you. Do you know if the motor mounts were checked? New bike, I know, but sometimes, even with new parts, **** happens.

 

I don't believe the motor mounts were checked. I'll have them do that at the 1000 mi inspection.

From where I sit, everything feels fine. But, this is my first HD so I'm not really sure what fine feels like.

I am in the same boat. I own my first harley, and am not always sure what is normal and what is not. I just assumed that my bike was good when I got it, and if something changes from that, then something is wrong. The motor mount was just a suggestion, but I would think you would feel something off from the front, but since it is your ol' lady on the back, it may be that she just idn't use to the way it feels. I don't know. I, personally suffer from a lot of back pain, but when I am on the bike, it goes away. Must have something to do with the vibration. I hope ua get it figured out. perhaps a better seat would do the trick. There is a road sofa seat that really raises up the passenger, maybe the back rest just hits her in an awkward location. In any event, take it easy, and have fun. that is why we buy these expensive toys.

My wife has MS, and she says that our '07 Electraglide Classic is so comfortable, that she falls asleep on the back of the bike![:-]

The only vibration we get is when we are at an idle. Cruising on the back roads of NH, and MA as well as the highways prove to be very smooth for both of us!

There are threerubber mounts on the backrest.Each corner and the centerthey allow the backrestsomemovement to cut down on vibration of the tourpack. There should not be any discomfort from vibration. Air in the rear shockswill change the ride for the better.

As others have postedpassangers fall asleep riding on an Ultra. Our 12year old niece told me after a ride that she fell asleep on the back. If you still are having a problem after some miles bring it back there is some other with mounts orexhaust.
