Default Removal of fairing bra help.

have a 07 Ultra a couple of months ago I bought a fairing bra and the dealer put it on. I am thionking of taken it off and I have been told the main problem is around the head lamp. What gives? Can anyone explain the process. I am not a mechanic but I can operate a screw driver pretty darn good.

Default RE: Removal of fairing bra help.

I put the bra on my fairing and saved the instruction sheet. You will need to remove the headlamp trim ringby loosening the phillips screw. That should free the elastic for removal. Then replace the trim ring and tighten the phillips screw.

Remove thethree Torx 27 screws at the top, slip the top of the bra down, then reinstall the three screws with or without the chrome trim piece.

If necessary, loosen the Torx 27 screws on each side of the inner fearing below the mirrors. This will allow you to slip the metal tabs of the braattached to theelastic from between the inner and outer fairings. There are three such tabs on each side of the bra.

After removal, be sure to check that all the Torx screws are tight.

And I hope that no sand or dust got under it and has caused any scratching, or you will be putting the darn thing back on. [:@]
