Well, got the PCIII removed today and the bike's on the stand for several days while I send the old unit back to Dynojet for replacement. [:@] For some reason, I've got a real bad feeling that they are going to come back and say it's my bike causing the problem, which will tick me off to no end. But guess I'm just being negative -- think positive TD, think positive.

Interesting, but installing this thing was a PITA, but removing it took about 15 minutes! Guess it helps to have done it once.

I had decided that I was going to start riding the bike to work tomorrow, since the monsoons have gone away and gas has gone up more than it should, so I'll just have to take my metric bike. Pulled her out, cleaned her up, and she's ready to go tomorrow. Rode it most of last Spring, Summer, & Fall, so guess I'll do it again for the next week or so.

Well that suks. At least you have aanother bike to ride. Tater, you did overnight the PCIII right? [&:]

Nobody even mentioned reloading the firmware. That's the first place I would start. The PCIII is a computer and needs to have all it's ducks in a row before it can operate correctly. You can download the firmware from the Power Commander website and reload it. You must power up the PCIII with a fresh 9V battery to load the firmware. Then reload your map (save your map, before you reload your firmware) and you should be good to go.

Hey, Bryan, yep sent the PCIII back via UPS next day air, and they got it this morning. I called to let they know they had received it (ain't the internet great -- I knew it was on their dock probably before they did), but had to leave a voicemail. Haven't heard back yet, but they said they would check it out quickly. Hopefully I'll know something tomorrow. In the meantime, my Suzuki and I are burning up the road to/from work. It really is a nice bike, getting 50 mpg, but I really want to get my Glide up and running again. I'm looking forward to having a PCIII that works.

Did you have a chance to check with Jamie about your map?

Later.

Jim

Next day, see that's what i would have done also.

Suzuki, I want a GSXR 1000 for them wild hair up my A$$ moments. I miss my Interceptor.

No i didn't call him yet. I lost my invoice with the # on it so he knows that i bought my PCIII from him, i just really hate to bother him, he's so busy. I got to tell you that my bike is running great, really happy with it. Keep me posted on your progress.

Im a little late to this thread but....
I ride a 99 bagger with an mm injection system and a PCIIIusb. The bike is bult strong and puts out over 100/100. I does not have a dead spot anywhere and it wil pull like a fraight train right up the the 6200 rev limiter. I have had this PCIII on my bike operating just fine for two seasons now and never hada problem with it nor had it go bad. I owuld suspect something other then the PC but you have already sent it in so hopefully they will upgrade the firmware and fix you up.

Now that's what I like to hear -- these PCIII's can run very well. I hope Dynojet can fix me up, but you may be right in that it's something with my bike. Guess we'll eliminate one thing at a time. starting with the PCIII, but sooner or later I hope to have mine running as well as yours. Thanks for the upate, igor!

I had problems with my PCIII. Spent the extra money and time to have it dyno'd TWICE. Still hesitated on me so I boxed it up, sold it on ebay and bought a SERT. My bike is MUCH happier now.
