Is it necessary to lower the bike if you switch to a 21in front and an 18in rear? Ive heard that most people lower them after doing this,....just courious.

Very nice bikes. Once money gets up, I really need to do more to my ride. Getting her to my minds eye, just need a little more, and then just a tad more... Oh, who am I kidding, I will never be DONE.

On my street bob, i went with a 21 fron and 18 rear and then decided to lower it. I think with a bigger wheel, then tucked under a fender (sorta) looks SIK. Im doing that to my Street Glide now!!!

Anyone know what tires brand or size these guys are using? I read somewhere around here that I needed to stay with 100 minimal. I read anything smaller will make the bike feel like it wants to lean itself into the turns. I am so ready for this upgrade but I need more info.

TIA

So far I have only been able to find 21" ww in 90 width. An indy told me about a company in Cali that will vulcanize a white wall to any tire. But... he said that the tire companies would void the warranty. Not that I care about the warranty but I wonder if the vulcanization process weakens the tires sidewalls. I rather not go this route. I wish to just find a 21" tire in 100+ width. [:@]

My 21x3.5" front is running a Metzler ME880 120/70/21. I say ditch the white walls.... less time cleaning, more time riding.
