Road King in a Tundra

Road King in a Tundra
Folks - is it crazy to want to throw my Road King in the bed of my Tundra (V8, 4x4, extended cab)? I measued it, it will fit with the rear tire resting on the laid-down tail gate. But do you think its weight and center of gravity will make it impossible to drive long distances? Multiple tie-downs needed I'm sure.
Also, I have seen the tri-fold ramps that have a gross weight capacity well over 1000#s for $100 and change....can I get by with one of those.
....yup, I know, buy a trailer, but right now that is not feasible.
Thanks

RE: Road King in a Tundra
I can haul my Road King in my '94 Toyota Extra Cab with no problems. It shouldn't be one for a Tundra. My rear tire sits on the gap between the tailgate and the bed. I got a 2' x 2' piece of diamond plate and put it under the tire. It took a 1" x 1" woodenstrip and screwed it to the diamond plate. I stick the strip in the gap to keep the plate from sliding. Be advised, that you will have to put a board in front of the front tire or you will smash the bed in to the back of the cab when you cinch the bike down.
