Looking for the pros and cons of the Vance and Hines slip ons for touring models. I currently have the MGS Custom slip ons but looking to upgrade. From sound bytes I have found I like the sound and I feel will support future mods I may make. Just looking for input. All will appreciated. Thanks in advance.
i gots them on my ride. my only complaint, they were load, even with earplugs, was driving me nutty. Had to have custom baffles made. Much better with the noise, prolly gave up a little performance. Ilike"em
I had them on my street glide. They had a low rumble to my ears. I actually thought they weren't loud. I changed them out to RC Components. I still have them and they are for sale. PM me if you are interested and I can send you pics.
I too have them on my Glide and I also removed the baffle socks and left the baffles in. What a beautiful sound. Lots of compliments all the time on the way it sounds.
Are these the same as the ones Roland Sands uses with the side exit? I know their Vance & Hines. If so I love them loud enough but not to loud......Don't have a pic that is clear I'll take one tonight and add it.

First are you looking for sound or sound and performance?
I like them, not too loud at all. Some say you'll give up a bit of low end torque but I noticed the opposite after I auto tuned. I'm getting ready to install Power Duals now and I'm sure that will be a tad louder but not much.
I already have the S&S Power Tune Duals. I may add cams in the future. Not sure about going any bigger or doing any head work. I like the sound and from what I have read they support full blown motors as well as stock. Plus ole lady likes the look of them...which is a plus.
