I'm leaving shortly to bring my scoot to the dealer for my 1000 mile service & a few other add-ons . My question is, i picked up the bike about 4 weeks ago knowing everything wasn't done because parts were back ordered & the sales guy was in a hurry that day so my delivery only took 10 min. I only got 1 Key FOB for my security system - is that normal or did most of you get 2 with your bike? Just curious because I know my dealeris gonna tell me only 1 comes with the bike. I didn't even get my owners manual yet!

I have nothing but good things to say about my dealer (Vandervest HD of Peshtigo WI) but after reading some of the horror stories of dealers repair work I'm a little nerveous. This should bethe only time I let the dealer perform anyservice work on this bike. I usually allow them to do the 1000 mile service then I let my buddy take care of the rest - or atleast the stuff I can't handle myself. I can handleall theroutine maintenance myself butI get a little cautious whenit becomes major. A case of beer goes a long ways with my friend!

I got two FOB with my UC and a owner manual!

 

2 FOBS. And when you get the second one, make sure it is activated. They are not automatically activated and this happened to me. This takes about ten minutes, but if it is not done, it will be useless and not arm your security system.

 

I only got one when I bought my bike, but thinking about getting another one.

 

I got two with my 06 RG.

 

My NEW bike came with 2 FOB's when I bought the bike... Now, I got a buddy who's bike didnt have security. He prdered it from Zanottis and the add on system only came with 1 FOB ... So I guess it depends on if you bought the bike new..or are adding on the security sytem post factory...

I only received 1 fob with my security system. It was added after the bike came in.

Don't firget - you can program your bike using your turn signal switches so that you can disable the security if your fob's battery goes bad or you lose it. That way you could buy a new one and still use the bike while waiting for it to come in.

 

2 FOBS for me and all the bikes I see on dealers floors have two FOBS attached to one of the grips. Get your other FOB and then check to make sure it works........

 

It's fob not FOB. Fob is a word not an acronym.
