I looked into this for my 09 RG. The cost from Harley was at $1500.00. Looked on EBay and found everything for less than $500.00. My bike is black so it was easy to match the color.

Best bet is Ebay or Craigslist. Look for one in your color or have one painted to match. Either way it will be less than half the cost than buying new from the dealership.

I found the detach kit here used, then bought all the wiring connectors on line, and made my Ultra quick detach. I think it was a one 3 wire, two 4 wire plugs, the detach kit from harley comes with the antenna relocate, plate relocate, brackets, etc [but not for ultra] due to the wiring i mentioned above, but do able

My '13 UC had the detach kit installed by PO. Pretty sure it wasnt any more than the detach mount, 4 pt kit and antenna relocates. Mine had the hidden ant installed so as that wasn't an issue for radio. CB would be only if you wanted use of it w/o tour pak. The lights and speakers were a simple unplug and place under seat
