There's a reason why the "TANK" is filling up, and quick!!!

Before I got my CVO Roadie new in 2009, I was dead set to get a Street Glide.

A very good buddy said, before you buy that new Street Glide, check out the Road Glide.

BEST advise he could give me. I'm SO GLAD I LISTEN TO MY BRO!

Fast forward today, they are everywhere now!

my local dealer can't sell a street glide, but road glides are flying off the floor. I was there the other day and they sold 2 in an hour.

gotta admit, it kinda sucks. I liked being the 'oddball' with the fugly bike.

I spend so much time dragging customers out to the parking lot to tell them all about mine that the GM is threatening to put me on the payroll.

I hear you on that!

Same thing at all 3 of my local dealers.

I guess the secret is really out.

At least ours are prerushedmore models! (No offense to those that have them lol) we just knew the secret before they were cool!

I forgot to mention, went to my dealership closest to my house today.

They had a brand spanking new RGS with a limited 1 of 150 painted tins, painted to match chopped tourpak, nice blacked out rims for only, get this $39K.

The paint job was pretty sick though and the bike looked real good! Paint job alone was $10K.

Default Made the switch from 2008 FXDB to 2015 RGS

All it took was a test ride last fall and I was sold. Like the op, I too thought the SB was a great bike, full of performance and handling prowess. But I couldn't shake the feeling that the big touring bikes really were the way to go. Then I saw what was the last black denim 2015 RGS in stock. Same color and pinstripes as my SB. I took it as a good omen and asked to ride it. I returned a short time later and bought it.

So my advice is to avoid actually riding a new RG unless you plan to buy it.

my local dealer has a 2015 with a limited paint set on it as well. they've also got a 120 in it, and a bunch of other farkles. they're asking $49,000 for it. and the really bad part? you don't get the takeoffs either, even though you're paying full pop for the base bike, the upgraded parts, and labor. needless to say, that bike's been sitting in the showroom for a while, and I expect that it will continue to sit there.....

I made the jump a few months ago from an 05 Sportster Custom to Street Glide....without ever riding a Street Glide, other than a 15 minute test. Let me tell ya, best thing I ever did. I still have the Sporty, but now it feels top heavy, awkward and unrefined compared to the SG. I still enjoy riding it just because of the lack of refinement and raw feeling it gives, but, the SG is such an easy handling and comfortable ride, it's
what leaves the garage the most.
