I believe this kit is the same cruise control kit I put on the 11 RK I had: 77196-08. This part number doesn't say it's for an FLHR but if you read the installation instruction sheet it shows the FLHR. Mine did not come with a factory cruise control but I bought this kit, installed it by simply replacing the left switch with the one supplied and plugged it in. Had to take it to the dealer for them to enable cruise control in the ecm. Worked just fine. This is the instruction sheet: http://www.harley-davidson.com/app-c...ts/-J04415.PDF

Adding cruise to a 2012 police bike is very easy, cost me less than five bucks, the dealer did not charge me to activate cruise. It took him less than five minutes.

I do not have accelerate or resume but hell for the price i think I can push the siren button again. If you by the police bike do not add aftermarket cruise, follow the link posted it will explain how.

I really want cruise control but some of the bikes I am looking at do not have it. Is there a kit out there for a FLHR or FLHRP? I checked Harley's site but cant find anything. I know the Road King Classic has cruise but I prefer hard bags and mag wheels if possible. Thanks.

I had an 07 RK and added cruise to it. 07 was kind of a bastard bike being 1st year for 96" and 6 speed, but kept throttle cables and old technology. I bought the kit that was plug and play, very simple install as I added it when I installed my apes. installed and plugged the module in under the seat and it all worked great. I bought the kit from a company in emporia Kansas that bought all the kits from HD when they discontinued them. Cost was right a $1000!!! but worth every penny.

With that said, I would for sure never buy another 07 for a couple of the reasons I listed above. I now have a 15 FLHXS, but would look for an 09 or newer. They have the longer frame, wider rear tire, TBW ($300 to ad cruise), much better riding bikes. I didn't do enough homework when I bought my 07.
