I've seen aftermarket ones on ebay for as little as 225.00 in vivid black with all hardware on tour pack, mounting hardware sold separately for 110.00, find a painter and get it painted for around 300.00. Gotta be a lot cheaper than HD.

Default Chopped vs razor

The question is what are you going to use it for? Are you really going to use it to carry gear or do you need one to carry a 3 ring binder? no offense to all. My bike came with a chopped TP so they could sell it faster (when i bought it in 2010). Sorry, I don't have a pick of it, I'm currently stationed in Mainland Japan, and it's a big time difference from the states. We're here for a bit longer and my bike is at stored in my "Framily's" garage. I am seriously thinking about getting a King TP for more room, we'll see.

Here is a chopped tourpack with King backrest. I had a mustang chopped backrest but the ol lady said it vibrated the metal in her back pretty bad. I had to drill the holes but it looks good and ol lady is happy.

It all depends on the amount of storage you are needing.

What are your thoughts on the chopped or razor, good or bad thoughts.
Also does anyone on here have one they might want to get rid of or your thoughts on the best place to get one. I don't need it today or tomorrow but would like to have it by Spring.
Thanks for any thoughts and opinions.

If you're going to make it detachable, I'd go with the king. The king has a bunch or useable space, and IMO doesn't look goofy like the chopped or razor TP's do.

Getting ready to pull the trigger and order a chopped one for my SGS. How does the original seat look/comfort with the chopped? Or do you have a 2nd seat for tour pak use?
For an occasional weekend trip. Won't be on otherwise
