2001 road king for 11,500 a good deal?
So my buddy is looking for a bike. This one he found has 14,300 miles. looks like rhineheart drage pipes, engine gaurd with highway pegs, looks like beach bars and some chrome added. he's a bigger guy so i think the bike would fight him right. The only thing i'm thinking about is the kingis going to need some new rubber in the near future what do you guys think . yea or ney .. thank for you info...later

I don't think it sounds like a a bad deal, the Rinehart's alone are about $800. They did not make a Custom in 2001 so it has to be a Standard or a Classic. I found my '03 Road Glide for under $11,000, those deals don't come along every day. If he likes it it sounds like a decent deal with the miles as low as they are.

sturgiskidd...for $11,500 I'd jump on it. I bought a '04 Road King Classic back in January with 20k-miles on it for $13,500 ($12,000 would have been a great buy), which was not a great buy, but it was o.k. If SoCal_Pappy can find any more "fair deals" at $11,500, I'd say buy everyone you can find and come to Florida and sell them at a $2000 profit. Going price for a decent HD bagger here in FLA is around $12,000 to $13,500, maybe it's different elsewhere.
JMHO, YMMV.
