That 07 might be the empl. # of the guy that rebuilt it.

You might send the serial # to Harmon and see if they will tell you when it was made.

I had a vacuum cleaner die on me after 35 minutes, got a rebuilt back.

I agree that the 07 might mean something else.Usually if it is date coded it shows complete date not just last two digets.

Great point, I was thinking it was the year, but maybe not.

When I worked electronics we used two letters to show year / month - DF = June '04.

My radio crapped out on the way home from Sturgis, about 400 miles from home. Display went out first, then it started switching modes randomly. Luckily I had an iPod and buds..... Got home, pulled the radio, replaced with a Jenson HD1BT and J&M 360 watt amp.

Took the HK to the dealer, handed it to them, and they handed me a brand new one (not refurbished)...... all it cost me was the $50 deductible. It's sitting on the shelf in the garage waiting to go into my wife's road Glide. Her display is unreadable, and her AUX port is messed up.

This may have something to with both radios messing up. We rode through this stuff for about 300 miles of 540 miles on day one, and 150 miles of 320 miles on day two. This included a tornado 1/4 mile to our right along I380 by Urbana Iowa.

Then this happened during the week...... glad we had a carport for the bikes.

Good times.

If radio fails, send it off to iron cross. They don't just fix the problem they prevent them. Once they are done with it no more worries. Also they can add many features you may want to it.

I had a problem with the radio in my 13 street glide.1 month out of warranty It started having issues.
Sent it out to iron cross for repair and change the color of the main screen.
390.00 dollars!!!

It took almost 2 weeks to get it back and installed it in the bike.
Within 20 minutes the same issue with the radio appeared.

Called iron cross and was told that because I didn't pull the main fuse I fried the laser in the cd part of the radio.
However, he would send me the part and I could install it. Easy 15 min job. Of course after a 1 hour job of removing the radio.

It is now Jan. 19 2016 and after repeated calls never received the part, this all started right before Christmas.

I WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN, AND WILL TELL EVERYBODY I KNOW ABOUT THEM!!

Stay away from Iron Cross Audio.

So you did not follow instructions, you did not do as any smart person would do and remove the fuse. This resulted in predictable damage.

Well to be fair while you're all judging people, there is the part about waiting a month for a part and not returning calls....

Then there is the other thing about many, many people loving Iron Cross because they typically do good work.
