Polished you can just hit with some never dull every now n then when cleaning up.chrome gets nicks. Can always re-polish the forks. Then again I did polish my old lowers. Actually had mine polished, took them to FL. Put on a friends bike. Got his painted ones. Busted *** hand sanding and polishing them. My bike is a rider. Not a show bike

After on the left and what I started with on the right.

Pair done. Polished by hand. If I ever get the urge to machine polish them I will. They work. That's all that matters.

I'm with you--scrub the bugs off now and then, throw a leg over and GO!

Unless you really enjoy polishing forks, get chrome or powdercoat. Polished aluminum is a PITA to maintain.

Happy motoring!

Got the hot legs, cans and wheel&tire from HogPro

I am doing the hot legs over the winter. How do you like them? Was the install easy?

I have polished lowers that looked quite good, but not as good as my chrome. Both will get rock nicks but polished is harder to maintain. If you go chrome don't forget to replace the cowbells.

Go chrome. Polished won't match with the rest of your chrome. As already mentioned, do the cow bells also. They're stainless but you can tell up close.

But once you do chrome, then you'll start to notice those dang dull engine bolts.

Once you go black you don't go back!

But, I went chrome. HD chrome sliders, HD chrome cow bells, HD polished rotors, Wily shiny chrome wheel, and Wily shiny chrome spacers. I love the look and low maintenance of chrome. Dealer charged $300 labor. At the same time had Progressive springs added...great improvement.

You can save money if you get the chrome sliders at Wily Shiny. He works on an exchange basis. Great quality, with attention to detail.

I like them allot, the install took about 4-5 hours on a rainy Saturday, I took my time and had a few adult beverages. Follow the directions and you should be just fine.

Chrome for certain. V-Twin sells them in chrome for about $50 for 2014+ baggers. Find a V-Twin dealer.
