Road King...with that SG paint scheme continued onto the Nacelle. Stock tank okay as long as the paint line carries the theme.

SG chopped looks front heavy. Too much black and batwing does not flow with the rest of the paint. RK looks like a riders bike with an attitude. RK with the changes above would be stunning.

+1. If my only choice was the two bike pictured, I'd take the SG but dump the front wheel.

I'm somewhat of a purist in that I like tradition and a bike with a fairing is not traditional so a Road King is for me. Its not called the King for nothing.

The Road King is a clever flip of words by Harley, who used 'King of the Road' for donkey's years before the RK was introduced, especially on their faired bikes! I still proudly wear the King of the Road sticker on my tourpak, which came off an '80s Ultra.

Out of those 2 bikes I would go with the RK. I think RK's have a great Harley classic look to them. I have a SG and love it, but this whole big wheel and super stretched bag trend on SG/RG is getting played out.

Well, I've had both and I currently have an RKC. I traded my 2006 SG for a 2012 SERG and now have my RK. The RK is also the only bike I have had 2 of (2003 and a 2013) so far for me. I'd have to say that's because it appeals to me more than other bikes and its adaptability/versatility of being dressed up or stripped down is very appealing. Of the two you're asking about, as far as style goes, I'd say Road King. More of the classic style that (as I have matured) I appreciate more today than I did 10 or so years ago.

As far as creature comforts (radio, hard bags and wind protection) I'd say Street Glide. So for me its RK - 1 and SG - 2.

Also, the 21" wheel looks good on all Touring bikes, IMHO. Anything larger makes the bike look like a cartoon character of itself.

And if one really wants to, they can add a fairing to their RK and walla! Insta Street Glide!
