Default handlebar riser flex

Installed 14" bars a while back along with wild one bushings. Way more flex than 12" bars with stock bushings. Think that's normal or you think they need tightening. I torqued to spec.

Time to ditch the mushy OEM rubber bushings in favor of some nicer polyurethane bushings.

I was actually able to pull my factory mini apes back and forth on my street bob before I swapped to ploy bushings, now they're rock solid/

the more rigid the bushings- the more vibrations are transmitted- bad for guys with carpal tunnel.

but with taller bars you have more leverage so you need to balance out the slop.

it's tough on touring models but try to tighten your bushings while feeling for vibrations in the bars

Do you have a one piece clamp? I'm assuming you do if its on the road king in the pics. Did you put the sleeves back in the new bushings?

Tighten them up some more. I put WO577's on my bike last winter. I used Drag Specialties poly bushing. Torqued to spec, seemed a little too loose, gave them a 1/4 turn till they felt firm with very little slop. Now, 10k miles later, they're feeling a little loose. I'm going back in this winter and snugging them down again.

Harley sells riser bushings that are solid aluminum. I have never used them, but hear they don't create too much vibration. That's always an option.

After I replaced my bushings with poly ones, I noticed no increase in vibration. While yes a more solid mount will transmit more vibration, I think due to the location of the mount in question increased vibration is non issue.
