I had my seat altered last year by a local shop. To say the least it sucked after that. They cut a crap load of material out which made it a major pain in my a$$. Recently I sent the seat to Allen at Mean City Cycles. Since I'm short (5'3") I asked Allen to narrow the seat, make it lower and obviously as comfortable as possible.

I recieved the seat yesterday. Since I had the day off work I was able to log about 100 miles on the new seat. Allen was able to get me lower to the ground and make the seat very comfortable. Thanks for saving my a$$ and fixing the other shops crappy work.

You're not the first to recommend Allen at MCC. If I was having my seat modified, I'd certainly look his way.

 

Same, at 5'4 I needed the stock seat shaved down to be flat footed. I am going to send him my reach seat next for the memory foam upgrade.

 

A lot of us have had the same outstanding result after sending our seats to Allen.

Allen is a stand up guy for sure. I happen to be down here in the area, and I got ahold of him to do my seat with memory foam. I took the seat to him, and he did not know me from anyone, just before I left he offered me his Sundowner Seat to use so I could ride my SG while he worked on my seat. How many people are going to do that? I thanked him for his offer, and said that I could wait for mine to get done.

I came back today to pick my seat up, and I was a little shocked. Allen had my seat on his SG, then tells me do you want to take it for a ride to see how it feels!!! WOW, shocked again. Away I went on his SG. He told me everything that he did to the seat to make it better then it was. We shot the $hit for a while.

On a side note, the Rinehart Pipes do sound pretty good too, not as loud as my Hard Krome T-Rex pipes, but they do have a nice sound to them.

I hope to get the seat on my SG in the morning and ride it into the office here, so I can really see how it feels.

Hey, I just sent my seat to Allen to narrow the front as it kills my upper thighs/legs. I have thick thighs! Did you get this done to your seat? Looks kinda like it.

 

Just about ever FLH seat I have done, I have been asked to narrow the seat up where you legs go down and I pretty much do it now if I am not asked to do it unless the guy have a 36" inseam. I wonder who designed the seats?...must have been someone very tall.
