Can't speak from experience on the 103 to 107 but I'd imagine it would make a huge difference as well.
Kinda think I'd like to go that route too.
What'd it get you?
Were you cammed with the 96 then or?

I have a 2012 SG. I'm going to have my indy shop install the Andrews 57h cam.

My goal is to compare the cost of me providing the parts vs. my indy shop providing the parts.

When I go to the fuel moto website for example, they sell a cam install kit for $59.95. So, other than the actual cams, what else is necessary?

Thanks much!
If you are gonna have the indy do the job, let them get the parts. If you buy the parts online somewhere else, then do the install yourself.

100% stock 2011 FLHTCU
Couldn't keep up with my buddy's 2001 ultra with a 95" big bore & cams. His son-in-law's Screamin' Eagle Ultra would smoke both of us.

Added FM 107 with Woods 555 cams, 2-1-2 pipe & Power Vision and those guys couldn't keep up. Pulled like a freight train in any gear and never disappointed on fuel economy (42-45 mpg on the highway).

I now have a 2013 FLHTK with the stock 103. It's better than the 96" but not much. After enjoying the performance of the 107 so much, I don't think I'd consider doing cams without punching it out to a 107.

They get you one way or another. Went to the only guy around one year because compensator was sounding like it was ready to take flight out of the case. He supplied and installed, charged one hour.
Next year same dang thing, I supplied and he installed, all of a sudden it was two hours.

What did go with for compression with those 555's?

Any head work?

I don't remember what the compression was but I didn't have to run compression releases. I told Jamie at FM that I wanted a set-up that was reliable and basically bullet-proof, so the compression wasn't that high. I also ran the stock heads.

I've read all the way through the comments and looks like you have your answer on what the parts will cost if you do it. So now let's see what the Indy total cost will be, should be around $1100 to $1200 if they supply parts and dyno tune your bike when finished, thats if you already have a tuner.

So, went straight from a 96-107.
Big difference there.

Don't know why you went from a 107 to a 103 unless you just decided that you didn't want to swap over the motor components and performance items, I'm guessing?

Yeah, there is not much difference between an older 103(13) and a older 96 with the cams they used in them.
Now there is a significant difference between the 13's and the 14's though.
Using bigger cams.
Some on this site with the pre-14's have even installed the 14's cam's in their pre-14 motors for a bump in HP/TQ.
