Anyone have the dipstick with the needle instead of the battery powered digital one? The one with the needle is much cheaper.

 

The dial type temp stick was for the old style oil bags (pre twin cam)
I havent seen one for the twin cam as of yet and if one is available I would buy it over the digital one.
regaurdless of what type you use dont spend to much time lookin at it while riding or you might end up someplace your dont wanna be

I admit I have thought of getting one from time to time. But when I look at them on the rack at the dealer, and they all read a different room temperature, it makes me wonder how well they are made, how/if they were calibrated, and how accurate they are. [sm=confused06.gif]

 

I boiled some water, adjusted for altitude, and it was spot on.
The combo temp/level sticks are now made in Germany. Much better
than previous years.
