Default Do you have a Ride Bell?

I was recently given a Ride Bell from an old friend.

You know...a Ride Bell, when given as a gift, doubles its power at keeping the evil road spirits away. Ya fasten it as near the ground as possible/reasonable...then it chases away the evil road gremlins to give us good luck on the road.

Do you have one or had you heard of this before?

The old school bikers used bells on their rides in the years before alarms were invented. Each bell had its own sound, and if you messed with their scoot they knew their bells sound and knew if it was their bike being screwed with.

I have a bell given to me by my wife. Every bike I've owned has had a bell and when I got my new bike I felt strange ridding the first day or two without one. Now I'm not some freak but I do believe in the BELL![sm=goodidea.gif]

Ahh Ha...that makes sense. I think it's cool notion...hey...we can use all the help we can get sometimes.

Even though I've been riding for over 20 years, I had never heard of this. But I was usually a lone rider and didn't know whata forum was...or they didn't exist, of course.

They were & still are also called "GREMLIN BELL\s" - And you CAN NOT buy one for yourself as it WILL NOT work unless it is given to you...

They have been around & I have always had one on ALL my putts for many-many-many years...
