They were & still are also called "GREMLIN BELL\s" - And you CAN NOT buy one for yourself as it WILL NOT work unless it is given to you...
They have been around & I have always had one on ALL my putts for many-many-many years...
That's the way I have always heard it. Someone has to give you the bell. Also If you buy a used bike the original owner should not remove the bell but leave it to protect the new owner. And the the new owner should leave the bell as well but could add another bell if they wish. I swear I'm not some freak...lol..
I've always had one. I even tried to transfer the one from my old bike to the new and my friends wouldn't have it. The next week Igot a new one from a firend. It's on there, now.
yup, a good fried, well really the cpl that gave me enought heck to sell my wing and finally get off the fence and buy a HD gave me one the first day. when my wife decided to get her own bike i got it for her and she put it on at the dealership. i mounted mine up high though so i may not be warding alot of the gremlins off
Yep, I have a ride bell. It was given to me by my son. The bell on his sporty came with the bike when he bought it. It bothers me to ride without a bell but then I'm kind of an old fart and set in my ways.
