The chopped TP should fit. Might need to redrill holes for the rack though. Here's mine on my RK.

does your passenger notice excessive vibration from the tour pack back rest

My passenger (wife) says no vibration from the backrest. This is both around town and highway riding. These are all HD components and seem pretty solid. Not sure on aftermarket stuff though.

mine is a streetglide `06. I have the hoop thingies as well. not to highjack thread, but does anyone know if you can buy replacement parts or do you have to buy whole set-up. my plastic? bushings are wasted. one is missing and other is worn. whole tour pak wobbles back and forth. still secure, but isn't tight. thank you, and now back to our regularly scheduled programming....

Look closely at the moment arm of the 2009- style attachment that RKZen has and then that of the aftermarket brackets. The tourpak is cantilevered off the bike with the aftermarket forward mount design and the vibrations are amplified.

I ordered the proper mount to connect on the rear points. I always ride with the luggage rack or tour pak so I don't notice the hoops.
