Well we do have the 110 Softail-S models that are selling at a quick rate in Dealerships now.

We all remember when the 96" engine was standard, but you could upgrade to a 103".

I happen to think there will be more 110" S-Bikes coming down the line in Harley's future.

The H-D Motor Company had it's sales slowed down somewhat last year, marketing says we
must get our sales going up. To that end, I see that all but 1 of the 103s are High Output now
and standard across the lineup. One would think since the High Output 103 is in all their Bikes.
A 110 inch engine will be in the Touring lineup first, as was the High Output 103 was in 2014 Bikes.
2017 should be an interesting year, with a few more 110 S-Bikes coming, will the CVO's be 120
inch Touring Bikes or stay 110 CVO's ? We will see in a few months.

why I wouldn't what? you are correct in that I have as much as I want in my bike and in my car. I do not need more displacement if it will not be used.

The 103s get hot enough as it is. Maybe in the ultras where they have twin cooled. IMO the 110 have issues that the 103s don't.

I currently have an 09' Ultra with a Fuel Moto 107. Will the HO103 have same performance?

I think the 103 is a better motor than the 110...

I could tell a little difference moving from a first gen Evo to the 96" TC, but would have been perfectly happy running my old Evo. With pipes and an S&S Super B w/accelerator pump the 80" wouldn't give up much to the Stage 1 96" TC. And I rode a few 103" motors, including a new 103" Low Rider, and I couldn't feel/tell anything earth-shattering over my STage 1 96ers.

But riding the 103 HO motor - even before I finished the Stage 1 upgrades - I could definitely feel a difference. The power off idle thru 3000+ RPM was very impressive when bone stock, and this was pushing over 100lbs more weight than my Super Glides. With Full Boar's torque'd up 2" slip-ons and Xieds it is even more responsive - even without the Ness AC installed yet.

I'm not sure how much we would gain on a stock 110 over the 103 HO? I can almost wheelie this fat beast as is. It gets to 80 mph damn skippy quick and purrs there all day, and has plenty left over for passing with a quick downshift to 5th. For me, a 110 motor is just going to add more heat and eat more fuel on my long work commutes. And it will likely add to the initial cost.

My choice is 110 for the stock motor and 125 for the CVO. JR
