HDsis a very limited system. you'd do a lot better by getting and aftermarket one, such as a Garmin. lots more features that in the long run you'd wish you had.

HD's not worth it. Zumo 550 by Garmin...a little spendy but works great and has a lot of features.

I have the HD unit on my New Road Glide. It is correct it does not have the bells and whistles like the Garmin in my truck and it is pricey. At times it's a pain in the a$$ when you have to put a CD into it to program an address. And once it did leave me about 3 blocks from my destination. But having said that so far 99% of the time it gives excellant spoken directions. Today in the miami area in a very confusing clover leaf it said Like "Take the second right then bear left and take the exit on the immediate right. This all at 75 MPH with traffic merging from all directions. Watching traffic no way I could read a sign. It was right on the money. The display was also right on. I don't know how well you may hear the other units because I have no experience but with this no problem hearing it at 75 and up. It's a mixed bag.

Don't overlook the Garmin 76cx unless youneed the big screen. Nice ride BTW, be a crime to block them gauges. RAM mount is the way to go for this handheld unit and will jack it up to a friendlier sightline. This unit, powered by 2AA available at any gas station, fills the billwhen it comes to versatility, weather resistance and autorouting from bike/tent/motel. Sure works for me with the Citynav software for directions and push of a button for food, drink, accomodation etc. when travelling unfamiliar territory. Works well in the cage too... So many units to choose from, good luck!

I have the Garmin 2730. Great unit and now that the newer model is out you can pick it up for about half the cost of a HD version. It has a bigger screen, touch controls and is pretty easy to read. I use it on 2 bikes, our car and my truck. It also has a build in MP3 player and it will interrupt the music to give you directions!! Best way to go.
