They ride as good or better. I had the 12" shocks shortened to 11.25" and they work great.

I have the 13 inch shocks shortened 3/4 of an inch. Actually measuring the shocks it's more like 7/8 of an inch. Only 1/4 of an inch of travel is lost. Rides and handles great. I would do it again without hesitation
