Had some time off of work so I rode over to the local dealer for some small parts that I need for my upcoming 95" build on my '06 FLHT. I know the salesman there pretty good and we got to talking about Road Glides, he offered me a RG Special 2015 for 18k which I think is a pretty good deal. They have a pretty small place and need to get rid of the 15's to make room for the new models. Unfortunately he wasn't able to offer me a good price on my current ride, he suggested that I sell it privately to avoid taking a bad offer. I understand that being a small shop they don't have much room for older bikes. I may consider doing that, I really want that RGS!

sounds like a good price for the RGS. Are you in a position to keep both?

I'm considering that as well. Mama really likes the FLHT, maybe get the RG as a solo bike? Hard to justify two touring models. Also, I'm afraid that once I start riding on the new frame I will spot all the flaws in the older model.

Dealers are really trying to move bikes right now. Things are slow every where.

I was in Durango HD about 3 weeks ago and they had 8 2015 dressers on the floor. Things just aren't selling like they used to.

once I start riding on the new frame I will spot all the flaws in the older model ... Yep, happened to me. I was keeping the 1992 FLHTCU until I had a chance to really put the newer one through the twisties ... WOW !

Figure the price of your old bike AND the price of the 95" upgrade. The new bike sounds tempting.
My stock 103 is faster than my brothers 2009 Ultra with cam added.

If you can swing it buy it and then try to sell yours privately. That is a really good price and might not last long before someone else snatches it up.
