Getting ready to paint my extended CVO bags and lowers on my 2012 Road King in White Hot Pearl. I've done some research on the paint codes. This is what I've found.


Hot Pearl Topcoat - 98628DJX
Glacier White Basecoat - 98628BNX
Urethane Activator - 99825-02


I've priced all of this at Surdyke and come up with a price around $250 for 2Qts. and a 8oz thing of activator. My question is this everything I would need for a good match? Should I buy the Harley clear also? What would be the mix ratio for each of the items. I've seen 8:1:2 (paint:activator:reducer). Does this look right?


Just trying to have as much information for the painter as possible. Any info would be appreciated!

I cannot comment on white hot pearl but on my bike which is white gold pearl. The gold flake is also in the clear. At least in the touch up bottles.

 

Will it look like this then, minus the fairing and white bars?

 

I had my WHP 12 ultra repainted in order to get rid of the pin stripes. I asked my painter what i needed and he replied "Ive got this!"
He took care of everything and i just picked up the parts and put the bike back together. I bet your painter is the from the same school

 

yep your painter will take care of it. just tell him the end result you want and should have his own way and products to get it done.

 

Just trying to leave no opportunity for mistakes. I'm the annoying guy that tries to tell them how to do their job haha. I'll start with providing HD paint codes and go from there. Thanks for the help guys.
