Gps tracking app for iphone
#11
On my old iPhone I used Map My Ride, http://www.mapmyride.com/ . This does record the ride for later review. However you have to remember to start it, which I far too often forgot.
Also keep in mind that running the GPS functions on the phone will drain the battery quickly. Be sure you have it plugged in to keep it charged.
My Garmin records the rides so I can download that data when I want to see the history. The HD Boom system is supposed to do the same but I round two limitations - you have to set it to record every time it's powered up and the export NEVER worked for me.

Full disclosure: I'm the rider that wrote/maintains it with the help of another rider that helps me with the graphics.
Another (free) app you may want to look at is Junket (https://itunes.apple.com/app/apple-s...921381958?mt=8) and there's more information posted here http://www.junketapp.com
Depending on what your needs are it may or may not suit you.
