I say go for it and take it easy, but I used to drink out of garden hoses too...

Hes replacing due to taller bars or going to a stainless braided line would be my guess.

Taller bars. Used stainless. I have a bunch of other threads on here for this diy, but in short mod is complete, reverse bled, no abs light, all seems good so far except my stainless clutch and stainless brake metals don't match. Both drag specialties.
