Default Wrecked 02 Road Kings worth??

I'm trying to get an idea what my Road King is worth as is. Had only liability insurance...can't afford to fix it. Mostly front end damage. Needs most of the front end replaced...tire n rim ok. NO damage to engine-primary n trans. Starts right up. No oil leaks. I have the rt. saddlebag. Windshield not bad...couple scrapes. It has 41, 000 miles. Runs just great.
Sure would appreciate any comment on it's worth.
Thanks.

$2200.00-$2500.00 would be my guess.

you could do a list of parts need ed to fix and kinda subtract that from teh value of a non- wrecked bike.

if the crash bars tabs on the frame are bent most would declare that a total loss.

welcome to the forums- hope you made out in better shape than teh bike

Assuming the frame at the neck is not damaged I would agree. Wish you were a little closer I've been looking for something like that to rebuild.

One problem is most people don't want to break even on the parts and eat their labor when they could just go out and buy a complete bike.

Default Wrecked Road King.

Guys...thanks for your replies. Wow...$2200.00 sure seems low. I kind of thought if it was worth at least $7000.00 pre-accident then it should be worth half that at about $3500.00. I hoped anyway. What a damn loss. I'll have to look closer at the crash bar tabs and the neck.
After two months I'm still in a wheelchair and crutches. My left leg was mangled. Can't walk on it for another two months. No fun at all.
Do I need to apply for a salvage title...or it's not important?
Thank you!!!!!!

A salvage title is issued if the insurance company totaled the bike and can lower the value by another 25%. In Utah once you rebuild the bike with a salvage title and have it inspected it is issued a Rebuilt title and most lending institutions will not give a loan on that type of title.

Good Luck and hope your recovery goes well.

As long as the frame is good at the neck rebuild it. 02 has a great motor and parts for these are everywhere, I have lots of them myself. Make a rattle can mutt of it so you can ride again on the cheap

Heal well and ride again.
