Even if I got it for free, the cost of used/new replacement parts to bring it back to life would far exceed the market value of the bike. You could buy a ready to go used one for less. That leaves it as a parts bike. And there's not a big demand for used 02 parts. So if you got more than $1500 for it I'd say you did well.

Unless you need ready cash, sit on it for a while and make a decision in the future. Stock sheet metal should be relatively cheap on ebay. At least it was when I purchased extras for my 2002 Fat Boy to send out for paint so that I wouldn't lose part of the riding season by sending the original.
For everything else there seems to be enough folks around taking stuff off and putting improved HD or aftermarket parts on. Might be able to get used take off stuff reasonable.

If you can't fix it, part it out. You'll make more that way then selling as a while wrecked bike.

Depending on your situation after the crash, maybe the start of a custom trike? Depending on how long you might need the crutches. Not trying to pry into your personal situation, just throwing out ideas.

Are the forks bent?
Here is a paint set without bags on Craigs list if it's still available:

I've rebuilt a couple 2012 FLHTK that were totaled and it's not hard.
Good luck

From what I see in the 2 pics I say that smart shopping via here, local craigslist and Ebay I think you can easily put it back on the road for

Fix it and ride man.

2500 is to low on a non salvage bike. The title really does make a difference with Joe average uneducated bike guy. That bike at auction rite now is 2800-3200 all day long. It's a super simple fix for guys looking to build and save a buck. Might cost u 1500 bucks in parts. Hey good luck on getting back up on your feet. Fix the ole girl......not that bad

After two months I'm still in a wheelchair and crutches. My left leg was mangled. Can't walk on it for another two months. No fun at all.
Do I need to apply for a salvage title...or it's not important?
Thank you!!!!!!
And no. It's like it never happened if it's on your nickel. No salvage
