Seems all us posters are thinking alike! My stays on. Like the look and protection. Hey it's chrome...gotta love that alone!

I added them to my RK when it was new. Saved tons of damage from occurring when kids were on tricycles bumping into everything. I also have a bag guard bag attached that has a water bottle holder and a small pocket for spare sunglasses etc. Very functional.

I took my rails off, left the guards on. I just like the street glide look, and my ELECTRA-GLO RAIL LIGHTS are still for sale. Thanks Uncle Larry.

I installed the panels in my rails and intend on adding some red neon lights on the backside of them for some extra glow.

First thing I did when I got my RK was add the saddlebag rails -- my dealer gives a scratch-and-win ticket with every new bike, and my ticket was for $250, so I got them almost for free. It gives the bike the look I like. Other add-ons to my bike are on or off depending on my current mood, but the saddlebag rails stay on all the time.

Not for me. I like the clean look.

I took mine off of the Ultra a long time ago. Besides, I have the fancy two-tone paint job and I want to show it off!

Wife hated the rails. Lucky the 2016 RGU comes with them in the front of the bags but not the sides. I never really like the rails on the side myself.

Yep!! I like the look on a "full dresser" rails and guards for me.
