I have a 01 fatboy and myfriend has a streetglide. his rear fender has a 3rd light that I want.
I want it on my fatboy. they make this in chrome for the roaking as well. I was wondering if anyone has one or some pics of it installed.

Put one on my 03 road king last week, it gives a whole new look for the Asz end. It extends down lower, coveringthe tire more. It mounted in the exact place the old one did, so no paint issues, the red led lights are a tad brighter then a SG, and they light up when you put on the brakes. Took about 1\2 hour to install. If you like crome its an awesome upgrade.

 

so there where holes in the fender than this unit goes into?

 

raaaa: There are two different kits; one is for rear fenders without fairing tip lights, part no. 91066-07, for RK Custom, RG, and RK Classic. If noone can post a pic, and even if they do, try stopping buy the parts counter at your HD storeand have the parts guy print-out the installation instructions for that kit--it should answer your installation questions. The H-D website doesn't list any softails for this kit; probably because the install calls for use ofa bracket that ties the fender extension to a fender bolt below the license plate and saddlebag support rail that softails don't have.

 

what about the fender size? is the fender the same size?
