D&D quality is absolutely excellent - they can be loud and to me have a raspy tone that on long trips becomes annoying.

Any 2-1 pipe is better than a 2-1-2. That is pretty much a given.
I would like to see comparisons(what the OP is asking) between the various pipes, Rinehart, d & d, rush, lsr ,thunderheader, kerker, etc. etc.

I've ran a D&D , Bassani B-4 , Drago Dragula & Drago Dragula 2 (all 2-1 pipes ) on the same bike same build . The difference in hp and torque on the 4 pipes was 2hp & 2 torque from best to worst with the torque curve looking almost identical , so performance they were all basically the same , looks and sound is subjective. I like the looks of the Dragula 2 the best and the sound of the Bassani.

I,m looking to get the D&D 2.2 x-header and their new 4 inch touring slipons.
I had a V&H pro-pipe 2 into 1, it sounded good but the welds on the heat shields broke,no more V&H for me.

Would've been way cheaper to add the 18mm bungs to your other headers. Any exhaust shop could've done this for you

To the OP....you won't find hardly any difference between different 2-1's other than the sound they produce. Performance wise they're all gonna be very close. Basically comes down to sound and looks.

Yep - sound and looks. That's why I went D&D...

I like the ghost pipe, and love the raw sound!!

I have the Fat Cat with the wrapped baffle and it doesn't seem as loud to me. I tried a Thunderheader at one point and went back to D&D. While the sound was ok, the fit and finish was nowhere near as good as the D&D. Plus, the TH seemed to run hotter than the D&D. The TH also seemed to have a torque dip in the lower RPMs that was not present with the D&D.

I had my bike built with SE Stage 3 race, woods 777 cams SE Ventialtor and Rush Racing 2:1 pipes. Dealer could not get good numbers from build after riding it all summer with less than 90hp. Dealer took it back and Bob Wood from woods cams worked with them on tune with Rush best he could get out of it was 93hp. Switched to a D&D 2:1 they had and with Bobs tune its 101Hp and 112 TQ. Not happy with the Rush at all!
