Back in the day when I had a long beard, used to have the same problem on my 79 FXS. The best fix was to have the OL braid it.

Have a buddy that custom built himself a chopper. Sweet ride. He also had a beard down to his chest. Took a while (as you know) to get it there. On the way home one night he forgot a rubberband. His beard was smacking him in the face and blinding him. My buddy is a little on the short tempered side. Pulled off the highway, pulled out a knife and cut the thing off. Pretty funny site. But did the trick. Looks ten years youngers and less mean. (he is now growing it back)

Well brother,I solved my problem with long beard.Lived with it in my face for years,until one cold night zipped a handful intoleather, then lifted head.You can bet,the next morning that problem was solved forever.Actually have enjoyed shorter beard,the wife does too.

For sure try the fork baffle. Its only 20 bucks. And you can take it right off if you dont like it. It really cuts down on the wind in your chest area.
