Default Anyone boughtt he J & S Air Operated Jack?

I've had a Sears Yellow Jack for years and it's always done the job, but I've decided to get a J & S Jack.

Trying to decide between the Air Operated Version, and the Foot Pump manual version.

Guess I'm just looking for opinions from those who have bought the Air Operated...was it worth the extra money?

That's really the only thing I don't like about the J & S, pumping up the Jack with your foot vs using a handle like on a typical Jack.

I just purchased an air operated J&S jack a few months back. Great company to deal with, and the jack is super stable with the bike in the air. I asked the same question about foot operated versus air, and I'm glad I got the air operated one. My air compressor is right there, so it's quick access. One member mentioned that is was pretty easy to install wheels with the air version vs foot operated as you can be in about any position and operate it with the air model. Plus, it's a one time purchase

Thanks, I just looked up your thread and read all the replies. I did a search before asking the question, but couldn't find it.

I hadn't thought about the ease of adjustment when doing wheel changes, that would be a really nice benefit of having the Air Operated.

I think I'm gonna spring for the Air Operated, it's only money

Thanks again

Mine's just the foot pump model, but in past threads on the subject, those who opted for the air assist seemed pretty happy with their choice.

air jack? nice! I can say that those J&S jacks are amazing, after having your bike in one every other jack seems flimsy and insecure! the price might discourage people but when you lift a 10k plus motorcycle why do it with a crappy jack?

Thanks, just placed an order for the Air Operated Jack and Oil Change Pan.

Got the Veterans discount and the shipping discount. Still spent about $600.00, but it will get lots of use, and save money in the long run.

Anyone need a used Sears Yellow Jack?

You'll love the jack. Side note on the oil change pan, which works perfectly for draining all three holes, jack must be in the highest position to get the pan in--then you can let it down to one of the stops.

I find that I must use a paper plate or a dust pan with the oil drain plate because the first rush of oil overshoots the plate. Not a big deal.

Is the pump jack upgradable to the air system?

I'm pretty sure I asked that question and they said it was not upgradeable
