Default Sirius Sat Radio

I was wondering if anyone else installed their Sirius Radio like I did mine (Above the gauges: see pic). It worked for a few weeks but the vibration is too much for that location and the radio cuts in and out. If anyone has found a solution for this please let me know Thanks for any advice you can provide.

i have mine mounted to the fairing using the car mounting kit. when i first used it, I also had a problem with the radio cutting out. thought it was because i had the antenna under the fairing on top of the radio. changed locations with no help. called SIRIUS and after three hours on the phone, it turned out that my radio had a bad connection between it and the cradle. replaced both under warranty (was a real pain with their warranty department) and now it works great. haven't done so yet, but besides the lock on the cradle that secures the radio, thought i might may wrap a rubber band around the cradle and radio to help eliminate the radio vibrating inside the cradle.

I replaced the Receiver but not the Dock, maybe I should try that. I also used a rubber band but I still had the same issue.

Used the RAM mount off of my handle bars and no vibration and no issues. The Ram mounts use rubber ***** (yeah hard rubber *****)that connect each piece togther. They absord the vibrations so the radio doesn't.

I have the Stiletto 10 and it took me a while to figure out a way to mount it. There are no mounts for motorcycles specific for the Stiletto. After seeing a couple of general GPS mounts online I decided to make my own.

I used this design

and after a trip to Home Depot saved myself $50

I bought a sheet of sheet metal, some bolts, and sleeves. This is the end result-

also I was able to use most of the hardware from the stiletto car kit.

And before someone asks the radio does stay in the cradle just fine and I have had no issues witht he radio and vibration to date. There is a small lock on the side of the cradle and it seems to secure the radio in the cradle very well. The only thing I worry about is being caught in the rain. The nice thing is it is easy to pull the radio out of the cradle and stick in my pocket without even stopping. When I am off the bike I just lock it in my bag.
