Do you have a link to those Ram Mounts
Here's the list from the RAM site. http://www.ram-mount.com/ramonlineorders2.htm

They make a cover that slides right over the unit for weather protection, they do for the sporster 4, it works pretty good and your can actually operate the unit when it's on.

I have had all kinds of connection problems that have yet to be resolved. I can't figure out where the bad connections are. I have the Sirius Sportster 5 mounted to my dash, using the RAM rubber ball system. Everything seems to work OK when the bike isn't running but, when I start it up, I get off and on antenna connections and one speaker cuts in and out. Securing it to the cradle via a zip tie helps. Harley's just shake a lot, I guess, and it must be raising hell somewhere - in the cradle connection? Any thoughts?

Also, you can buy a rain cover for the Sportster 5 on the net for $6 or $7 bucks.

I used a handlebar mount on my first bagger (a 1990) and plan to reinstall it on my new FLHX. Never had a problem:

I have a Sportster 4 from Sirius to mount on the bike... I bought the mount from TSS.com. The mount came with a waterproof cover. Just need to put it on now.

Where or how do you all run the wires and mount the antenna?

mooseoh: For the handlebar mount mentioned above the antenna attaches (magnetically) to a plate that sits behind the radio reciever base. I ran the power along the handlebars, through the fairing, under the tank console, and under the seat where I hooked it up.

I used the auto mount that came with the unit, and stuck it to the windshield with the suction cups provided............

it vibrates, but the mount mitigates alot of it.
