Had some rotten luck this morning while suiting up to ride to work...
I started the bike to warm it up. While it was running I put my helmet on the pillion seat so I could go to my left saddlebag to get my jacket from in there.
Just then my helmet decided to fall off the seat and, of all places it could land, it decided to fall onto the gearshift lever, putting the bike into first gear while it was running.
What rotten luck! The bike lurched forward then stalled.
The only good thing was the bike didn't fall off the side-stand - it stayed upright when it stalled - so maybe my luck was not as bad as I first thought...

 

Great luck if u ask me. Didn't even drop the bike, u gota love the jiffy stand after that.

 

Sounds more like dumb luck to me....

Man that's good luck, The bike stayed up. Now where are the folks that say the locking jiffy stand sucks or "my bike just fell over all by itself". If you would've had a crack or dip in your driveway it really could have been bad.

 

agree with the others, that is NOT bad luck at all!

 

Didn't do the helmet any good, I'll bet...
