Default Lift for non harley bike

Don't flame me for this one lol, I have a 14 sgs and j&s jack for it which is fantastic. My brother in law just purchased a yamaha raider (couldn't convince him to go harley, can't afford one), and he wants a jack for it. Doesn't want to fork out the cash for a j&s jack. Will the standard sears mororcycle/atv Jacks work for the raider? Again, apologies for advice on a non harley product

Not %100 but as long as both frame rails are exposed with the headers not in the way, the harbor frieght jack should work.

Yeah, my thought also. Don't know the ground clearance and what the frame rails look like to see what jack would work. Can't find **** online when I try to research.

Lot's of folks use the Sears, if it were me I'd get the Yellow one good for 1500 lbs.

Re: that poor mans jack. Can't you just see that 4' piece of electrical conduit or whatever the hell it is somehow getting loose when you are raising or lowering it and it smashes into your cods.
Jesus man! That could leave a mark.

If the jack isnt low enough run the bike up on a couple short pieces of 2x6 with the ends cut at a 45° angle

He could have afforded a Harley, he could have gotten a Fatbob for about what he paid for the Raider. Most of the time a metric cost almost as much and sometimes more than a similar Harley.

Harborfreight jack costs less than the Sears one. Probably exactly the same jack with different paint on it.
