Clack had stated before that he didn't have a place to do the install himself which was why he chose to let the dealer do the install.

Biketronics makes the install very simple, the conversion cable is already setup for your specific bike. It is pretty much a plug-n-play system to install.
I just wouldn't want your post scaring people off from tackling this project themselves if they think they would like to try it. $400 US ($550 AUD) is a lot to pay for a 2 hour job.

Glad you got it installed and like it, I love the sound of mine!
A few extra minutes for the 14s and newer, removing the speaker pods can take up a some time.

I originally had a RF amp and Kicker 5 1/4 speakers with stock HU. The head unit started to crap out, so I went with BT and was very easy to install.

This.

I think he mentioned in Aussie land garages aren't as common as they are here.

I do agree with everyone else. With a little space, time, and a handful of tools the BT set-up is a straight fwd install.

That's right - I live in an apartment with a communal, poorly lit, parking area (no garage), so I had no place to do the install. That is why I got the dealer to do it - no stress involved for me...

Dude I will grab some wings, NODA, and your choice of whisky when I put my BT stuff in. Hoping for early spring tax time.
