It took him 1.25 hrs for mine due to having fairing mounted gps and oil temp gauage. Paint quality and match was as though it came from factory.

Had Paul (Painted Harley Fairings.) exchange mine, vivid black paint looks factory perfect, took him about 40 mins in the hotel parking lot and I was back on the road. I agree the same color as the badges may work. My .02

+1 on Paul Barber of Painted Harley Fairings.

I watched him do my buddy's inner fairing. It took him 48 minutes, start to finish. You make the appointment with him, give him the color of your bike, he paints one and then swaps it for the one on your bike. Paint work is excellent, color match is perfect. As I recall it was right at $450.

Ill start out by saying first and foremost, I will not be doing any of the work, I will most likely take it to an indy shop to do everything. Apparently, there are clips inside the fairing and mine must all be broken because the fairing rattles like a mother.

What does this sort of job normally cost? I don't want to go into this blind, not knowing what the norm is.

Thanks for the help in advance

FYI,the 09 flhtcu i bought had the same issue,HD makes a product that specifically addresses that issue with is simply applied with a pad or micro fiber cloth that does a very good job restoring the inner faring to a nice blk rogignal looking finish.

I forgot the name of but your local hd shop should carry it,took approx 20 mins to apply to the black portion of the inner faring ,looks good and lasts quite a while too.

Have you ever considered the 3 pocket windshield pouch? If it the very top of the inside fairing righ behnd the windshield, this might be a cheap less than $100 alternative. Plus you get more storage.

if you need help shoot me a PM. I'm only about 1/2 hour from you. Did this myself a couple years back.
Most important thing to do - Label all the connectors you disconnect when taking it apart!!!
